THE ENIGMA : Completely Tattooed Daredevil Musician
Actor : Piano, Guitar, Flute, Singer, Songwriter, Composer, Sword swallower, Poet, Author, Publisher, Director, Producer, etc, etc, and the list goes on.....

Making X-Files appearances, tattooing, and asking in the voice of Ripley to "Believe it or Not?", is his joe-job. After all, what would you say to a guy that has a way of stating his art by the etchings on his face as well as risking his life through electrocution, swallowing neon tubes, and putting running chain-saws to his face?
The Enigma was raised in Seattle. He had piano and dance lessons at age 6. He continued with piano and took up singing and flute lessons at age 9. He spent most of his time in the back seat of a car traveling to private lessons. His peers came out of comic books and late night television. He started performing sword-swallowing at the age of fifteen and hasn't stopped since.
Being a founding member of the Lollapalooza sideshow (toured the world by storm 1992-1998), his appearances included festivals around the world such as Lollapalooza in 92, Edinburgh fringe festival in Scotland, the Adelaide festival in Australia, Mydfyn in Denmark, Kalvoya (opening for David Bowie) in Norway, Pink Pop in Holland, Leysin in Switzerland, Skeleftea in Sweden, many weeks in Ghent, Belgium, The Doctor Music festival in Spain, Larote Fabric in Switzerland, and around the U.S. opening for Nine Inch Nails (Marilyn Manson opened for him) and the tour included two nights at Madison Square Garden. Two books about those years are Freak Like Me, and Circus of the Scars. He also made his debut on prime time Television in 1995 by appearing on the X-files (season two episode 20 "Humbug"), and made his grandmother proud by appearing in National Geographic Magazine in June that same year.
In 1998 HUMAN MARVELS evolved from his cauldron of rock music and sideshow stunt ingenuity. With his wicked imagination fueling the show, he deftly blends the best possible feats of daring with continuous live rock guitar licks. The music is an explosive tincture of art house, surf, and circus sound. the lyrics are a poetic blend of circus sideshow imagery. Mermaids, hunchbacks, and two-headed fakirs all march together in a dark menagerie the songs invoke. The stunts are the punctuation for every song. The lyrics "stick a needle in my eye" take on a whole new meaning in his show.
Since then, he has continued to perform around the globe stopping to do Tattoo Woodstock, and Knott's Scary Farm as well as talk shows and hit television series such as Penn & Teller's Sin City Spectacular, Fox Files, Sally Jessie Raphael, Joan Rivers, Ricky Lake, Guinness Prime Time, World's Biggest Headlines (JAPAN), Record setters, Jeopardy (he was a question), Stephan Rob (AUSTRIA), Arabella (GERMANY), Donny & Marie, Ricky Lake, Rob Nelson, Jay Leno, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Side Show - the documentary, and many local TV shows in North America, Europe Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. The Learning Channel, and The Discovery Channel have made him the most famous tattooed man in history.
He has appeared recently on the silver screen in a movie called "Firecracker" starring Karen Black and Mike Patton, and has appeared on the soundtrack to "The Mummy's Tongue", "Firecracker" and "PUNKS"
starring Jessica Alba. Magazines titles that have embraced him are, Juxtapoz, Bizarre Magazine and even another appearance in National Geographic Magazine in August of 2004. Did I mention the Conundrum action figure from Palisades Toys?
The Enigma is affiliated with SAG, AFTRA, and ASCAP. A few museums have also featured his work, American Museum of Natural History, Amsterdam Tattoo Museum, The American Dime Museum (Baltimore), and The Illuminati Museum (Amarillo).
In 2005 The Enigma decided to work alone and become even more finely honed in his daredevil rock performances.
After his tour with Pigface as a guitar player(US in '05), and recording his live album at Absurd Machine Studios in Winnipeg, The Enigma is working on new music and new stunts like no one has done before.
See him live. The Enigma does not disappoint.
